To many folks, a bookmobile is a required provision of a public library. But did you know that many of Kentucky’s Public Libraries do not even have a bookmobile?
The bookmobile is a valuable resource for those who aren’t able to get around very well. Heather West-Hall, our Outreach Librarian, serves nursing homes, day cares, churches, and the outlying areas of Simpson County*, particularly in the Gold City, Price’s Mill, Rapids, and Sulphur Springs areas.
The Bookmobile is available from 9am to 2pm Monday through Thursday, and from 9 am to 1 pm on Friday. To request a stop in your area, please use our contact form or call the Library at (270) 586-8397.
*Weather permitting. Normally, if the Franklin-Simpson Schools are not in session due to weather, the Bookmobile won’t be running.
